It is designed for Sifteo Cubes, a new game platform with mini-screens and proximity sensors, that offers a new play experience.

How it works
Insiede Lexis are exercises, presented as mini-games, that allow the testing and development of specific skills. To encourage the dyslexic subject to test regularly, the game has been designed with a captivating character. The child has to keep a little monster through three different areas: feeding, cleaning and fun. The mini-games are included in this context and only at the end of the game is it possible to unlock some special bonus, useful for the character’s needs. Last but not least, this instrument allows teachers and parents to check the progress of the child, thanks to the data saved on the associated website.

Lexis is proposed as a tool to support and improve skills during the learning path. It differs from existing projects for dyslexic subjects in that it focuses on the cognitive and psychomotor difficulties deriving from dyslexia and aims at full emotional wellbeing. Furthermore, it is based on a multisensorial concept that allows language learning to improve through games and the use of the senses.

When someone enters the theatre…

The installation is a invisible system that is sensitive and responsive to the presence of people. When a person walks through the theatre something unexpected happens: he is surrounded by the sound of the sea and a big photo appears on all the windows. Looking through them the user is able to see the sights that characterized the place in the past.
The interaction is very intuitive: a person’s presence elicits the response of the system, requiring no intentional action.

Venice is a cosmopolitan city visited by thousands of visitors and travellers every day. It’s a magic city par excellence. Many old palazzi, private residences and hotels are the perfect venues for exclusive and luxury parties and receptions. These could be the very occasions for male visitors to use DaTe to find a suitable escort.

DaTe’s main purpose is to get away from the idea of a money transfer and focus on the gift instead, as a nice way to thank the lady for the good time spent together.

DaTe application’s main user is the escort. Her only duty is to accompany gentlemen travelling alone and seeking company while in Venice, and not necessarily to provide sexual favours. She is supposed to be refined, elegant and educated, able to beautifully entertain her occasional parter with brilliant conversations on any topic.
DaTe application’s second user is her client, a wealthy gentleman in Venice for business, who would like to spend his free time in good company.

Personal Contribute
I proposed the metaphor of the room; this was used for the final graphics and I also did the graphic design for some internal parts of the escort application. I created most of the code and the final code that encompasses all aspects of the application.

fLight is an interactive system which allows people distant from their family to reinforce the feeling of being part of it, knowing that somewhere else somebody is living the same moment. The surprise that follows waiting for a contact gives a strong sense of accomplishment because this moment feels like a celebration.

fLight project is focused on demostrating that being together is something that needs care and time and doing this can give a strong accomplishment.
In each house of the family members is placed a fLight, one in the family house and one in each children’s house ( or even office).
fLight consists of four different main reactions based on the same interaction, in fact the only thing to do is to take the controller and hold it between hands waiting for an answer.

Personal contribute
I took care of final Arduino code and created the logo and part of the graphic of the project. I also helped in shooting of videos.

The mobile phone app elgobo allows people, wishing to auction personal memorabilia, to attach personal stories to them. The auctioneer stands on the sculpture to conduct the auction, and buyers bid in real time, either in person or remotely via the app. This app allows remote bidders to participate in the urgency and suspense of the physical auction.

People often hold on to old things for the simple reason of holding on to our past, to memorie. Even though they are kept in storage, having them reassures us that we haven’t lost our stories, our lives, ourselves. Through time, the stories of things we have once used become attached to them. The ordinary transcends into the deeply valuable and meaningful.

The purpose of this application is to highlight the emotional value of objects, as opposed to their material value, and to get people to act together to revive memories 
left behind by time.

Personal contribute
I developed the graphics design for some screen. I took care of final details of the code, in particular the inclusion of audio on iProcessing and possible solutions to make the “bidding” using the accelerometer. I also helped in shooting of videos.

Thus is born the idea of an innovative project which uses new technologies to realize a service of social design.
The aim is exploit the Web 2.0 features and the potential of network to match labour supply with labour demand.
At the heart of the project is the concept of service: this “social work network” allow users to access informations which may be of interest in professional field, and using infographic techniques and a georeferenced map this informations are given through visual feedbacks.
Users can easily find the solutions which best suits their needs through a special search engine. Setting one or more refinement filter, immediately map shows the colored icons which indicate the results based on their choices.
